Cody's Bio - Cody's Piercing Gallery

My name is Cody. I'm the apprentice body piercer here at Creative Visions.

I grew up in all the surrounding cities of Monterey. My interest in body piercing began at the age of 12 when I first saw the possibilities of body piercing and modification through various magazines and websites. I was ecstatic that such a large underworld existed for people with these interests.

At 14 I moved out on my own and started the 9-5 routine we're all so used to and adore so much (read sarcasm).

At 17 I began working as an embalmer/funeral director. I really couldn't have asked for a more in depth learning experience of human anatomy. I was always fascinated with the complicated inner workings of the boyd. I continued with that for about 4 years. Some may find that a little weird, but I feel it was a great learning experience and makes me feel more confident as a piercing artist.

I first walked into the doors of Creative visions when I was 18, ready for my first tattoo ( a birthday present from my mom). That's when I met the staff of Creative Visions. I was soon hanging out at the shop every weekend getting various piercings and watching everybody work. I knew that someday I had to work in a shop like that.

I was around 20 when I got certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and remain registered and certified to this day.
 

 

I was fortunate enough to chat with Sean on day and was informed they were in need of a new apprentice for piercing. I was all over it like a fat kid on a donut.

I feel honored to be apprenticing under an artist like Margi. Creative Visions has always had phenomenal piercing artists who have carved a name for themselves in the industry. I hope to follow suit and continue the tradition.

If I'm not at the shop, I'm playing music. Those are really the only things I do. So stop in anytime if you have some questions about a new piercing, or if you just feel like chatting it up. The way I look at is is it's a small community, I'm bound to pierce you at some point, so introduce yourself.
